Zulu Club ("Zulu", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Zulu Club mobile application and website at zulu.club. We are a consumer lifestyle platform offering curated products, experiences, content, and personalised recommendations.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you use our services. By creating an account or using the Zulu Club app, you agree to this policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

• 🛒 To process orders, manage deliveries, and handle returns or try-at-home sessions
• 🔔 To send transactional notifications (order updates, OTPs) and, with your consent, promotional messages

• 📊 To understand usage patterns and improve our platform
• ⚖️ To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records, law enforcement requests)

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

• 🚚 Fulfilment partners — name and delivery address are shared with logistics partners to complete your order
• 🏪 Seller partners — order details are shared with the relevant seller to prepare your purchase
• ☁️ Service providers — cloud infrastructure, analytics, notifications (Firebase/FCM), and payment processors operating under strict data-processing agreements
• ⚖️ Legal requirements — when required by Indian law, court order, or law-enforcement request
• 🔄 Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, data may transfer to the acquiring entity under equivalent privacy protections

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specific retention periods:

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

• 👁️ Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ✏️ Correction — Update incorrect or incomplete data via the app's Profile section or by contacting us
• 🗑️ Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see Section 7)
• 🚫 Opt-out of marketing — Unsubscribe from promotional notifications at any time via app Settings → Notifications

To exercise any right, email privacy@zulu.club. We will respond within 30 days.

You can permanently delete your Zulu Club account at any time. Once deleted:

• ✅ Your profile, preferences, saved items, and credits will be permanently erased
• ✅ You will be logged out of all devices and will no longer receive notifications
• ⚠️ Transaction and order records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal compliance
• ⏳ Deletion is processed within 7 business days of your request

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

• 🔐 HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• 🔑 Token-based authentication (JWT) with short-lived access tokens and refresh token rotation
• 📱 OTP-based identity verification for sensitive actions (login, account deletion)
• 🏠 Data stored on secure cloud infrastructure with restricted access controls

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, please contact support@zulu.club immediately.

Zulu Club is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us at privacy@zulu.club and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
